Aloha 2012

Spent 10 days in Waikiki earlier this month with two great friends - d. young and j. lamkin.  Lot of relaxing and waveriding.  Got a chance to surf on the North Shore for the first time, then spent the rest of the vacation in Waikiki.  Great time.  Took my point and shoot out for a surf - in its water housing, of course. Challenging to sit on your board, frame up a shot, focus it, get the water off the lens, frame again and focus and capture all at the same time (while being heckled by locals:)  Lot of different color in Hawaii as well as shapes and lighting that we don't see here on the east coast.  What a beautiful place.  I am thankful its in the middle of the ocean. Keeps us mainlanders from road tripping to it and ruining its beauty.
